First of ALL, this place is only $75/night! No taxes, fees, add ons, straight up $75! The rooms are being currently remodeled. NOT a problem! I love the new hardwood floors! Carpet in hotel rooms are nasty, a total plus for hardwood floors. AND there is a mat at the door for your shoes! Huge bonus for summer...they removed those old crappy, usual motel conditioners and installed real freezing air blower home ones!!! Provided are charcoal grills and rocking benches. Every single room has a screen door like home! Service is great, a bit of a language barrier, but super quick for a keeper in a tiny town. (Got to wake him up at bed time), totally understandable for a town that rolls up the streets after dinner. Let's get to location.. easy to find. Easy to access. Accommodating most sized vehicles. There a couple of slips for like a truck and boat or a motorhome and car. Honestly, it feels like the guest house at home!
How can I say this? It's a very clean, recently refreshed place (new paint) in a good location. The furnishings are a mix of new and old, but all of it is exceptionally clean. The proprietor was super nice, escorted me to my room, showed me how to use the TV and AC. Very nice guy. Now, some may turn their nose at a vintage, old-school motel, but I loved it. Brought back fond memories of family vacation when I was a kid.
Spent 6 nights there recently . Much nicer than when I was a kid. Clean room , no musty odors . Good prices. Think retro 60's with good shower and other upgrades . Our backs didn't like this particular bed, but it was HUGE. Thank you GCI.
We came into town for a local RC car race. We did not anticipated that we would need to stay the night because we live only a few hours south, however when it became clear we would need to find a room, this was the closest hotel to our location. It was after midnight when myself and our 3 kids finally got to the hotel and even though it was very late, the gentleman helping us was as nice as could be. He personally walked us down to our room and made sure the kids were settled and showed us how to use the remotes and turned on the a/c for us. He was very pleasant and understanding throughout the rest of going back to the office to finish the transaction. The next morning when we went to check out, the gentleman was there as well as a younger woman (his daughter, maybe?) And she was so, so nice. She talked to our kids and asked how they were and they were very patient and understanding while we continued to rearrange our vehicle to make our trip home. The room was clean and comfortable. It was better than expected for the price point. We would stay again if we are ever in town and need to stay the night.
